"Orange County is No Longer Nixon Country"

This New Yorks Times article definitely put a wrench in my perceptions of Orange County. You know how I said I'm working on my prejudices towards rich, homogeneous societies?

It’s less of a middle-class suburb today,” said Michael M. Ruane, the director of the Orange County Community Indicators Project, which studies economic and demographic trends in the county. “You have areas of poverty and areas of great affluence and less of a middle.”

Anyway, I just thought it was interesting that the NY Times read my mind, and tried to clarify for me.
