you mother father

my parents gave me a call today.
they are seriously so weird, and i freaking love them.

this is how the phone call went down:

me: hi mom.
mom: [in korean]. hi what are you doing?
me: [in korean] hanging out with classmates.
mom: [in korean]. edric's taking japanese classes at rio hondo. i don't know where he is.
me: oh wow. that is interesting. hmm.

[dad yelling at my mom in english telling her to give him the phone]

dad: [in chinese] do you chinese speak well now?
me: [in chinese] yes. i speak well.
dad: [in chinese] good. i have to teach you some important words now. [in english]: "f*** you" and "son of a b***h."
me: DAD!!!!!
dad: [in english] WHAT?! they are very important for you to know now.

[mom yelling at my dad in english in the background telling him to stop teaching me cuss words in chinese]

dad: wang da ban is "sob" and ta ma is "f***".
me: great. i hope it will not have to be of good use.
